Conor McGuinness
Partner (Indianapolis, Indiana)
Conor joined Heartland in 2019 and serves as a Partner across the firm’s venture capital and private equity activities. His work spans fundraising, deal sourcing, and portfolio company value creation, with a focus on helping Heartland and Heartland Growth Partners identify attractive opportunities and support companies after investment through strategic and commercial engagement.
Having joined close to the firm’s inception, Conor established Heartland’s Community function and the firm’s model of connecting portfolio companies with Midwest-based corporate leaders, operators, and customers. That approach remains central to Heartland’s strategy for driving commercial traction, strategic alignment, and long-term value creation across both its venture and private equity platforms.
Before joining Heartland, Conor led a software subsidiary of a national consulting firm, building technology solutions for middle-market companies in manufacturing, construction, and logistics. Earlier in his career, he advised Fortune 1000 clients on technology strategy, financial performance, and workforce planning, and worked as an attorney at a Fortune 500 company.
Conor is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland and the University of Notre Dame Law School. He and his wife Emily are active in their community through their local parish, Providence Cristo Rey High School, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana.
