Dan is a Principal at Heartland, leading portfolio company operational improvements, EBITDA growth initiatives, and value creation efforts.  

Prior to Heartland, Dan was a Vice President at RoadSafe Traffic Systems, a PE-backed B2B construction services and products company. There, he led both Sales and Supply Chain organizations to drive growth and lead procurement & cash initiatives. Before that, Dan was a Manager at Bain & Company, where he led performance improvement & strategy projects across clients in Industrials, CPG, & Food & Beverage.

Dan began his career in General Electric’s Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) before moving into senior roles in manufacturing, supply chain, and product management. 

Dan holds an MBA and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating from the Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program. Dan has a Master's in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo. Dan currently resides in Chicago and enjoys spending time at the lake with his wife and dog.
