INDIANAPOLIS –
Nominees for the awards honoring “The Best of Tech in Indiana” have been revealed. This year’s Mira Award winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony April 29 at The Westin Indianapolis. Categories for the 90 companies, schools, organizations and individuals include the Rising Star Award, Best New Tech Product and Corporate Innovator of the Year.
Additional individual industry honors include Investor of the Year Award, TechPoint Foundation for Youth BridgeBuilder Award and TechPoint Trailblazer in Technology Award.
Independent judging panels pared the lists down from 180 applications this year. The program TechPoint is in its 18th year and is presented by Angie’s List, Genesys, and Salesforce.
TechPoint Chief Executive Officer Mike Langellier says “in just over a decade, Indiana has seen more than $6.5 billion in acquisitions and IPOs from our tech community. More recently, in 2016, two-thirds of all the venture capital dollars and three-quarters of all the deals raised in Indiana went to tech companies. The Mira Awards exist to celebrate our state’s tremendous tech success stories and amplify them to media, investors and technology buyers nationwide.”
Nominees will meet later this month for presentation and questions and answer sessions and independent judging panels to inform the selection of winners, which will be unveiled at the April 29 gala.
